BIO: Rolando Gomez, a Lexar Elite Photographer, transitioned from combat photography to glamour and fashion photography in 1999 and still freelances as a photojournalist. Known for his “flamour” style of photography, he’s taught over 450 workshops and seminars in Mexico, Canada, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, and the United States. He also provides private photography instruction and private glamour photography.
Rolando’s photo assignments has taken him to thirty-nine countries. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, Electronic Media, from the University of Texas, San Antonio where he graduated summa cum laud. In 1994, he was named one of the top-five military photographers by the Department of Defense. In 2007, he conducted a three-country tour for Calumet Photographic in Europe.
A former, active-duty U.S. Army Staff Sergeant, he was the personal photographer for General George A. Joulwan for four years and spent twenty-six months documenting the Latin American drug war in South and Central America, for which he was awarded the Department of Defense Meritorious Service Medal (DMSM) as a buck sergeant.
Rolando’s work was the subject of the September 2006 Rangefinder magazine cover story, “Mysteries of Lighting.” He was a guest speaker as a Lighting Master at Photo Plus Expo in 2004, 2005, and 2006. He has written three popular photography books: Garage Glamour: Digital Nude and Beauty Photography Made Simple (Amherst Media, April 2006), Rolando Gomez’s Glamour Photography: Professional Techniques and Images, (Amherst Media, 2007), and Rolando Gomez’s Posing Techniques for Glamour Photography (Amherst Media, 2008). His fourth book, Rolando Gomez’s Lighting for Glamour Photography is due out July 2010, also with Amherst Media.
In 2009, he lectured at Photo Plus Expo on “Internet Strategies and Guerrilla Marketing.” That same year, Rolando released his fifth photography bok, Photographic Therapy: The Power of Photography to Help Build or Rebuild Self-Esteem. The book is free for download at www.freephotographybooks.com, and in it’s first three months it was downloaded by over 30,000 photographers. Rolando lives in San Antonio and is the father of five beautiful children, including four gorgeous daughters and one handsome son.

BIO: Bob spent most of his career as a photographer for wire services, covering political campaigns in the US and South and Central America, the US invasion of Panama, the first Gulf War in Kuwait, Olympic and Pan American Games, Masters Golf, and World Cup Soccer. In 2003 he was promoted to Director of Photography for North America for AFP (Agence France Presse). He's provided photography for two bestselling cookbooks and he's the author of three very well received books on photography. The first book, which deals with lighting on locations is entitled, Minimalist Lighting: Professional Techniques for Location Photography. The second book, which deals with studio lighting is entitled, Minimalist Lighting: Professional Techniques for Studio Photography. His third book, The Commercial Photographer's Handbook, is a concise and insightful look at the business of photography and is currently being used as a textbook in some of the largest college photo programs in the country. His fourth book is due out at any moment and is an in-depth look at many of the different kinds of lights photographers can use in their work. It's called, Photographic Lighting Equipment. All four books are published by Amherst Media.
Before settling on photography Tuck was the creative director for a regional advertising agency for seven years, winning numerous Addy Awards and Austin Graphic Arts Society Awards for print advertising as well as radio and television commercials. Prior to his career in advertising he was first a teaching assistant, and then a specialist lecturer at the College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin.

BIO:Quest Couch has been a writer, photographer and producer of award-winning multimedia for nearly 30 years.
